There are a lot of very cheap sets on the internet. Sometimes there is some good stuff but the majority is just crap. Our sets are especially suitable for beginners.
As a beginner you usually make mistakes like applying too much pressure on the tool.
Cheap steel will bend too early, the wrong steel will break.
Our sets for beginners are made out of spring steel which is the best choice in the beginning. Hard enough to give good feedback and soft enough not to break.
You even can bend them back a couple times when you did something wrong or applied too much tension.
As an advanced lockpicker with more experience you can buy tools made out of stainless steel.
Those tools are way thinner so you can pick locks with narrow or complicated keyways. But they are also more expensive and sensitive.
